Flower Shows

An NGC Flower Show offers club members the opportunity to express their creativity and showcase their efforts in growing almost any kind of plant.  A flower show offers the public a beautiful collection of horticultural specimens and designs.

It can be an invaluable way to educate and share knowledge of your local, state, and national organization. Flower shows can be simple or on a large scale, but no matter the size, it brings community members together to learn, grow and display.

There can be four divisions in a flower show:

THE HORTICULTURE DIVISION:  The Horticulture Division gives members the opportunity to showcase their work and connect with gardeners to share knowledge and expertise in gardening skills.

THE DESIGN DIVISION:  The Design Division is a creativity showcase where those members who love to design and arrange flowers can express their skills and creativity.  The show’s theme, along with class titles, inspire exhibitors to interpret the classes in a creative way.

YOUTH AND SPONSORED GROUPS DIVISION:  A Youth Division in a flower show is a great way to teach children about the joys of growing and showing plants.  Youth exhibits do not compete with adults in the show and are divided into categories by age groups.

BOTANICAL ARTS DIVISION:  The Botanical Arts Division in a flower show aims to appeal to the interests of those whose interests extend beyond the Horticulture and Design areas of the show.  The Division may include popular exhibits such as crafts, collages, plaques, fairy gardens, dried flowers, wearable art, and photography.
